Starting with the 09/01 Production date, BMW switched vendors on their Navigation Radios. BMW changed from Alpine to Becker. These Becker radios have been through 11 generations starting with the first gen BM53 radio which did not have Aux, Sirius, or MP3 ID# tag support. Each of these generations of BM53 radios have been upgraded with new features and functionality. The Latest US Radio (BM53) now supports, Aux input, Sirius Satellite Radio and Now MP3 Audiotext.
