Fallout 3 is Charlie’s Angels by comparison, you know, lots of eye candy, no substance and it doesn’t make any apologies for it. It doesn’t have to and it’s fun. But, it feels like a promo shooter without the polish of the real thing.

Hi, i've recently decided to mod Fallout 3 with an ENB, however it was laggy and generally didnt run properly, so I made the mistake of removing every file related to the ENB from my PC, now fallout 3 will crash as soon as it hits the 'Please Stand By' start screen, and sometimes before.
Ive tried:
Installing replacement d3d9.dll and falloutdefault.ini files (still installed)
Uninstalling and reinstalling
Verify/Repair
Changing compatibility modes
Changing to windowed mode
None of these worked
Here are screenshots of my files in the game folder, documents, and the crash itself
NOTE: From what ive read on another post, it may be corrupted save files, but those files are backed up through gog galaxy, and I cant delete them.

Pretty much the same problem here.. i cant find any fixes either. I don't understand how it could be a corrupt save, since I've never actually saved a game for this on my laptop. Only on my PC. I don't know if it's because it's on my laptop or what. But same issues for me, the second the in game cursor loads in, game freezes and crashes. No idea why. Really pissing me off, since the GOG version is supposed to be the version you can get on windows 10 that isn't broken. Wish we could figure this out.
Also, the game didn't have a d3d9.dll to begin with.. that was part of the enb. You shouldn't need that to run the game, may actually be causing your crashes.

I Had A BUNCH Of Mods, But My Game Was Running Smoothly Until I Found A Glitch In A Lucy West Companion Mod.

I Decided To Delete All My Saves And Start A New Game After Moving My Load Order Around.

I Noticed A Few Bugs And Other Strange Things Going On With Gene Projector Options That I Did Not Know I Had....

1. Several New Races Were Available, (Ghouls, Kids, Ghoul Kids, ect.) That I Don't Need Or Want.

Also, All The Vanilla Races Were Repeated (Especially Asian With 5+)

What Adds These And How Can I Get Rid Of Them? >:C

2. A New 'Brown' Eye Color That I Didn't Notice I Had (Extra From A Companion Mod?)

Was Purple (Missing Texture?) There's Some Others, But They Seem To Work Fine.

3. On My Previous Character, I Enjoyed Using An Added Character Head/Preset

That Looked Strangely Like Handsome Squidward CX

It Was Included As An Extra With One Of The Mods (I Don't Know Which)

But Now If I Try To End Character Creation With It,

The Game Closes Itself And Says 'Fallout 3 Has Stopped Working'

It Just Stops Working For Me For Some Reason?!?!

I Would Like Some Help Or Guidance In Finding Out Which Mods Are Causing These Issues And How I Should Go About Safely Removing Them WithOut Having To Perform A Re-Install Of The Game AND The Mods!!!!
